Master’s Programme in Theatre
The Master´s Programme in Theatre is a study programme that offers a deepening of previous studies and professional activities in the performing arts. The programme provides an opportunity to develop and define one’s own artistic work based on contemporary currents and European theatre tradition. Students gain the ability to independently pursue, develop and implement their own artistic work on the basis of an artistically formulated idea.
The programme aims to give students the ability to develop and formulate an artistic attitude and to communicate this both practically and theoretically.
Students gain knowledge and skills to independently design and implement projects. To achieve a Master's degree, students must also demonstrate basic knowledge of entrepreneurship relating to theatre production, budgeting, copyright rules and grant applications.
The programme includes:
• projects in which self-formulated artistic issues are examined practically under supervision. Such a project could constitute a finished artistic work or a starting point for further artistic development and research
• masterclasses and workshops where theoretical and practical themes are exemplified and examined
• meetings with active artists
• studies of international contemporary theatre currents.
