On November 26 there will be a public seminar examining the contemporary field of performing art work engaging communities. Artists from the performing and visual arts are socially engaging with people, places, and communities over time, which raises questions like, what are the artistic and ethical dilemmas they meet?
Ditte Maria Bjerg, Rector at Malmö Theatre Academy, who is the seminar aimed at?
-The seminar is aimed at artists, researchers, students and community builders in the Öresund region. We also especially welcome our future partners in the new Master’s Programme in Performing Arts as Critical Practice.
What do you think attracts Professor Shannon Jackson to Malmö and Copenhagen?
-From my perspective, it is being able to meet an entire region's artists and researchers within her research field.
