Specialisation in Conceptual Performing Arts
The three courses in Conceptual performing arts are of 30 credits each. The courses are designed for students whose ambitions are to explore intermedial and documentary narratives, audience participation and dramaturgical strategies in contemporary performing arts. The students gain and develop artistic knowledge through workshops, seminars and their own artistic practice.
The courses are mainly focusing on the aesthetics of conceptually oriented performing arts (inspired by groups such as e. g. Forced Entertainment, Rimini Protokoll, Gob Squad and She She Pop), but the curriculum also offers an outlook on other contemporary art fields.
The courses are aiming at introducing and contextualizing conceptual approaches on artistic methods and dramaturgical structures, with the ambition to develop the student´s own conceptual artistic practice.
