About our research
Malmö Theatre Academy conducts research in performing arts that aim to propose new knowledge, methods and techniques. We aim to create a dynamic research environment where artistic creation, research, and education feed each other in a critical dialogue. An environment where people committed to artistic research can meet on common ground and feel welcome.
Malmö Theatre Academy provides a collegial meeting place for researchers, artists and pedagogues, with a special focus on inter- and transdisciplinary collaborations both in a regional and international setting. The artistic research is driven by the doctoral students, teachers, postdoc and senior researchers.
Through symposiums, workshops, guest lectures, public seminars and research events we aim to make artistic research matter both for the research community and a wider audience. The activities primarily take place at Inter Arts Centre, a platform for artistic experimentation and research at the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts. The events are announced in our calendar and in our Newsletter, which you can join by sending an email to filippa [dot] jonsson [at] thm [dot] lu [dot] se (filippa[dot]jonsson[at]thm[dot]lu[dot]se)
