Why are collaborations more important than ever before?
In todays society we need to embrace and share each other's knowledge and we need to be smarter by working across sectors if we are to find new ways forward.
Malmö Theatre Academy focuses on establishing strong partnerships and being an active agent in relevant Networks, both within Lund University, locally in Malmö, nationally and internationally.
Locally, we collaborate extensively with our closest neighbours: Inter Arts Centre, the international contemporary theatre Inkonst and the Museum of Movement, the new national museum on democracy and migration.
Other research-oriented projects with links to the Malmö Theatre Academy, often in collaboration with Teatr Weimar, are run by lecturer Jörgen Dahlqvist, Fredrik Haller and Linda Ritzén. These projects are part of the active fringe theatre scene in Malmö and include both independent theatre artists and other higher education institutions in the fine and performing arts.
In addition, we have started collaborating with Fridhems Folkhögskola on mutual activities to improve the future recruitment of students with focus on diversity. Malmö University is our partner in courses for future municipal art and music school teachers.
Last, but not least, we highly prioritize collaborations within Lund university and look very much forward to being part of the new research school Agenda 2030.
If you or your organization is interested in cooperating with us, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us.
