Creating Democracy

In Creating Democracy, the audience explores the challenges of building a democracy from scratch. The performance premiered at Dramaten in 2021 and has since been performed in Norway and the US. It was developed in collaboration with the Institute for Futures Studies and is part of Jörgen Dahlqvist’s PhD project, In Dialogue with Society: Democratic Engagement through Theatre. 

The performance will be held in English.

PhD defence 28 March 

This is the artistic presentation of Jörgen Dahlqvists doctoral project In Dialogue with Society: Democratic Engagement through Theatre which  explores how theatre can contribute to democratic engagement. I Skapa Demokrati utforskar publiken vilka utmaningar man kan stöta på när man försöker bygga en demokrati från grunden. Föreställningen hade premiär på Dramaten 2021 och har sedan dess framförts i Norge och USA. Produktionen är framtagen i samarbete med Institutet för framtidsstudier och ingår som en del av Jörgen Dahlqvists doktorandprojekt In Dialogue with Society:  Demcrating Engagement through Theatre. 

Föreställningen kommer att hållas på engelska.
