Instructions for application to the MA in Performing Arts as Critical Practice

MA in Performing Arts | 120 credits

Here you find important deadlines and information about applying to the MA in Performing Arts as Critical Practice at Malmö Theatre Academy.

Applications are made in two steps

The application period opens on 15 October 2024 and closes on 15 January, 2025:

1. Register on the programme at universityadmissions.se

2. Upload your CV, motivation letter and 2 work samples in our portal 

Register in the portal and upload your motivation letter, CV and 2 work samples with short description and relevance for your application to the MA at Malmö Theatre Academy.

We cannot process your application if both steps are not completed. Last day to upload work samples is 15 January 2025, 23.59. The last day to send in supplementary documents to universityadmissions.se is 1 February, 2025.

Upload your documents in our application portal

After registering in our portal, you will receive an email with your login details. The email contains a link to a digital application form where you fill in your complete personal data and upload documentation of 2 work samples.

Documents to upload

Together with 2 work samples, the application should contain a text with a brief presentation of your artistic work, a CV and a motivation letter which states why you are applying to the Malmö Theatre Academy. Other relevant documents such as texts related to your own artistic work etc. can also be uploaded in the application form. Formal grades, certificates, documentation etc. which have already been uploaded to universityadmissions.se should not be uploaded again, we already have access to these via the admissions office.

General instructions for work samples

  • The application should contain 2 work samples with a brief description and its relevance for your application to the MA. 
  • For each work it is important to state the title, your role, the year and place where the work was created and presented
  • The work samples together with a completed application form are uploaded digitally to the application portal after registration.

Technical instructions for digital work samples

  • Each individual work sample can be documented with a maximum of 2 video or audio files, 
  • Accepted file formats are:
  • Images: JPG/JPEG
  • Audio: MP3/WAV/AIFF
  • Video: MP4/MPEG4
  • It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that submitted digital samples work according to the instructions.
