Ditte Maria Bjerg, head of department, who is it that you are seeking for the role?
-We are looking for someone with a strong artistic and pedagogical experience from the field of socially engaged art. The programme will be given in English so we welcome applicants from various nationalities with strong networks to enrich the new programme.
The programme already has a number of external partnerships, what can you tell us about that?
-We believe that new alliances are the future of performing arts, so therefore we have established a range of partnerships in the region, with art institutions as well as social institutions. This will provide a potential for our students to anchor their artistic projects with relevant partners.
Who is the programme aimed at, would you say?
-We want to attract a broad field of international students, from dance, theatre and performance. Students who want to expand their knowledge on performing arts as critical practise. It can be someone who recently finished their BA or artists with a longer experience. What we look for are students who are passionate to develop their already existing artistic practise into a new territory - socially engaged art.
